Five things I want every woman to know

You are beautiful. Inside and out, top to bottom, no matter your size, shape or color. No matter the physical scars or emotional scars you carry. It doesn't matter if your 13, 21, 30, 50, or 90, you are simply gorgeous. You were put on this earth just as you are to live a full life, stand proud and let the love shine. And you know what, if you are doubting yourself right now as you read this, let me correct you . . . you are beautiful. You are strong enough. You are talented.

Stop hiding. If your hair isn't set and you're not wearing makeup, still take that silly selfie with your girlfriends. Be in the family picture at the park. Be covered in sweat and real. Those are the moments you remember of your mom, and those are the moments your children will remember of you and the moments you will cherish all your life. No one thinks back and remember their family photo session of perfection as a lasting family moment. They remember everyday life. My son isn't going to remember me looking "gorgeous" three times a year, he's going to remember his mom. Just as I remember mine, and you know what, she was gorgeous every day . . . even in the photos I know that embarrassed her. All I see is her love, laughter and light.

Your children hear you, and will replicate you. If you say "I'm fat" . . . "I'm not good enough" . . . "I'm not pretty" . . . they will begin to think it about themselves and all women. Stop the self-abuse with our generations. Lets build up the next generation to be stronger and wiser. Don't let them inherit our self doubt. And I truly believe as we build them up with love and confidence, we will build ourselves back up too.

Happiness is a choice. Not everyday is easy, but if you choose to be happy with who you are and what you have. Good things come. Peace is loving the now. Not the future, that is not a guarantee. Love the moment you are in, no matter how bizarre or ugly. This is a piece of your story, and after all the things I've seen in my life, I can say that even in the darkest of night, there is still so much to be thankful for and the light will shine down on you. My new favorite song says it all, "don't you carry stones in your bowl of light." – Bowl of Light by Trevor Hall.

Faith. Faith. And more faith. Cleanse your life and soul from the negative. If there are people in your life that are negative, condescending, mean, or soul suckers. Get them out. One by one, change your circle to be filled with souls that love you and lift you up and surround you with light. You are here on this green earth to love and be loved. That is it. Simple, pure . . . life.
