Sitting next to Mille Lacs Lake watching the giant waves crash into the rocks, I was inspired by the the amazing book Sky in the Deep to make driftwood bracelets.
WHAT YOU NEED:
Needle Nose Pliers
Optional: Wood Carving Knives
1 Drill two holes in the driftwood
2 Optional: Carve a channel for the beads to set into. This allows the beads to be snugger to the wood and sit flat.
3 Start beading with a bead clamp, then beads, then another bead clamp. Test fit it on the wood before clamping with pliers.
4 Thread the string through the wood, adding another clamp on the back side to secure the beads tightly in place.
5 Add the clasps, put on and look awesome!
